Older Person Services – Regulation 27: Key findings and learnings from the IPC inspection programme to date

Regulation 27 requires that the registered provider ensures that procedures, consistent with the National Standards for infection prevention and control in community services (2018) are implemented. In addition, the Health Act, 2007 as amended, requires that registered providers comply with Standards set by the Authority under section 8(1)(b).

A programme of inspections was launched in 2021, to focus specifically on regulation 27 Infection Control, to assess how the registered provider has implemented the National Standards for infection prevention and control in community services (2018) in residential services for older people. HIQA is now hosting a webinar to share the key findings and learnings from the IPC programme of inspections to date. This webinar will also reference the recommendations made by the COVID-19 Nursing Homes Expert Panel in respect of Infection Prevention and Control.

Those who wish to attend are required to register for this event using the links provided below. Please note that both sessions will cover the same material, therefore you only need to attend one of these sessions.
